Anti-Racism Statement
Bonneygrove and Millbrook Primary Federation
At Bonneygrove and Millbrook Primary Federation, we are committed to being an actively anti-racist school community. Every child, family member and member of staff has the right to feel safe, respected, valued and represented.
Racism, in any form, is not tolerated in our schools.
Our Commitment
Being anti-racist means more than simply not being racist. It means we will:
-
Challenge discrimination and prejudice whenever it occurs
-
Actively promote equality, diversity and inclusion
-
Teach children about fairness, justice and respect
-
Ensure all cultures, identities and backgrounds are valued
-
Listen to and learn from the experiences of our community
We are committed to creating an environment where differences are celebrated and every child feels a strong sense of belonging.
What This Means in Practice
In Our Curriculum
We ensure that our curriculum:
-
Reflects diverse voices, histories and perspectives
-
Celebrates contributions from different cultures and communities
-
Teaches children about equality, respect and human rights
-
Encourages critical thinking about stereotypes and discrimination
Through Personal Development, PSHE, History, English and other subjects, children learn about diversity in a meaningful and age-appropriate way.
In Our School Culture
We promote:
-
High expectations of respectful behaviour
-
Clear systems for reporting discriminatory incidents
-
Open conversations about identity and belonging
-
Ongoing staff training in equality and inclusion
All racist incidents are taken seriously, recorded and addressed in line with our behaviour and safeguarding procedures.
Support and Reporting
If you or your child experience or witness racism, please report it to the school so we can respond quickly and appropriately.

Racism is challenged
We are proud of our inclusive community and remain dedicated to ensuring that all children thrive in a culture of dignity, respect and belonging.
